Establishment of ‘Health Check Center’ at Nagdhunga Border
KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021 – A health check-up center has been set up in Nagdhunga of Chandragiri Municipality. A health check-up center has been set up at Nagdhunga in Chandragiri, the main entry point to the Kathmandu Valley, after the second phase of Corona infection with new variants spread in Nepal as well as in different countries of the world.
The center was jointly inaugurated by Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli and Chandragiri Municipality Mayor Ghanshyam Giri on Wednesday. Mayor Giri informed that the health check-up of drivers, co-drivers and employees of vehicles entering the Kathmandu Valley through the same checkpoint will be carried out at the center set up by the municipality.
Chief Administrative Officer of the Municipality Niraj Poudel, Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Singh of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Campus, Municipal Spokesperson Haribhakta Maharjan, Ward Chairman of Chandragiri-2 Gopi Surkheti and others were present on the occasion.
So far, 2,379 people have been infected with Corona in Chandragiri, said Maharjan, spokesperson of the municipality. Of them, 2,181 have recovered and returned home, while 158 are being treated in home isolation and 14 in hospitals. So far, 26 people have lost their lives due to corona in Chandragiri.
All services closed in all wards except emergency
The municipality has decided to shut down all services in the municipality except the essential ones during the prohibitory order. Mayor Giri issued a press release on Wednesday stating that all services will be suspended except for the urgent ones as per the ban imposed by the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
Chandragiri has also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the general public during the injunction. – RSS
