To make Manipal Teaching Hospital building a Corona treatment hospital work started

JANAKPURDHAM: THURSDAY, MAY 6, 2021 – The government of State No. 2 has started the work of converting the unused Manipal Teaching Hospital building in Janakpurdham Sub-Municipality-14 into a Corona treatment hospital.

The government will operate a 100-bed Corona Hospital with 20 ICUs in the building.

The technical process has been taken forward and work is underway to operate Corona Hospital within 20 days after completing the entire process. According to Engineer Bhagwan Jha, the work of lifting the seal of the building has been completed in coordination with the administration under the technical process and now the management work will be expedited.

Regarding the operation of Corona Hospital in the building, it has been said that the operation of the hospital will be done by handing over the building and premises to the police. The unused Manipal Teaching Hospital rooms are said to have no windows, paint and dilapidated doors. Engineer Jha said that the recruitment of manpower for the operation of the hospital has also been started. – RSS
