KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MAY 5, 2021 – The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center has submitted a letter of withdrawal of support to the government to the Parliament Secretariat. At the same time, the UCPN (M) has formally withdrawn its support to the UML-led government.

Earlier, the Maoists, who had left the government, maintained their support. Earlier, a meeting of the Maoist Standing Committee held on Tuesday had decided to withdraw its support to the government. “We have already handed over the letter of withdrawal of support,” leader Leela Mani Pokhrel told Makalu Khabar.

UCPN-M Chief Whip Dev Gurung has handed over the letter to Parliament Secretariat Secretary Gopal Nath Yogi. After this, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is in the minority.
