Chamber demands extension of tax payment deadline

KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MAY 4, 2021 – The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has demanded the Government of Nepal to extend the deadline for filing tax returns and filing taxes.

As the infection of the new variant Covid-19 is spreading rapidly, a prohibitory order has been issued for the prevention and control of the infection.

Due to which, the businessmen and employees are not able to go to the office when the industries, businesses and offices are closed.

As the required documents will remain in the office, it is not possible to file tax returns and tax amount online in this case, so the government has requested for an extension.
