Prohibition in the Kathmandu Valley is being extended and preparations are being made to tighten it

KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MAY 4, 2021 – The prohibitory order issued in Kathmandu Valley has been extended for one week. The prohibitory order issued on Baisakh 16 is coming to an end on Wednesday.

On the eve of that, Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are holding discussions today. “There is no doubt that the ban will be extended for another week,” said Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli.

Parajuli said that although the modalities of the ban were the same, they needed to be amended and tightened. He said that a traffic control order will be issued to tighten the ban. The transition is intensifying and prohibitory order are being tightened.
