Shanghai city crowded by Tourists

CHINA: TUESDAY, MAY 4, 2021 – Millions of tourists flocked to the Chinese city of Shanghai and surrounding areas on the first three days of Labor Day, at a time when the tourism business is in crisis due to Corona around the world.

According to Shanghai’s tourism statistics, a total of 1.6 million tourists have visited 170 major places of interest in Shanghai. This is an increase of 166 percent compared to the same period in 2020 and six percent compared to the same period in 2019.

During Labor Day, five new areas, including Changting, Sonchang, Xingfu, Fushun and Nanhui, launched a variety of cultural activities to attract tourists, officials said. – XINHUA
