In Sri Lanka, air travel is strictly limited to 75 passengers
COLOMBO: MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 – Sri Lanka has tightened air travel for two weeks with effect from Monday morning in view of the Corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic.
According to the Sri Lankan Aviation Authority, the plane will not be allowed to carry more than 75 passengers at a time. Department has informed all the airlines about the government’s decision.
The department has stated that further decision will be taken after assessing the condition of Covid-19 in the country after two weeks.
Meanwhile, the number of Corona virus cases in Sri Lanka has skyrocketed in recent days. A high number of Corona virus cases have been found so far on Sunday. According to the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health, Corona has been confirmed in 1,800 people in the last 24 hours.
Including this, the number of Corona virus infected people in Sri Lanka has reached one lakh 12 thousand. – RSS / ANI
