Development Bankers Association urges to use digital payment tools

KATHMANDU: MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 – The Development Bankers Association has urged the member banks and service recipients to increase their business through digital banking equipment.

The association made the request, saying the use of digital devices was safe in the face of a second wave of Covid-19 infections.

It is requested to increase the use of ATMs, QR codes, credit cards, debit cards, wallets and payment gateways in Nepal. The association has also requested the banks to provide services in coordination with the local level following the instructions given by the Nepal Rastra Bank.

Banks have also requested for the provision of help desk and focal persons to solve the problems faced by the service recipients in case of epidemic.

The association has also urged the member banks to provide continuous information to the service recipients about the opening hours of the bank, business limits, branches and locations in operation in a way that is quick and easy for the service recipients.
