Free ambulance service by a group of artists

KATHMANDU: MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 – As Corona infections increase, hospital beds across the country are filling up. It has become difficult to get an ambulance for the sick. There are more problems in having to come to Kathmandu for treatment of Corona from outside the valley.

Focusing on this issue, artists and people from different fields have started free ambulance service. Artist Nikhil Upreti, Kedar Prasad Ghimire (Magne Budha), Bijay Lama and others have informed through social media that they have started free ambulance service with oxygen.

They have requested to contact only those who do not have private vehicles and cannot afford the ambulance. Launching a free ambulance service, Nikhil said, “Helping in an emergency is the first duty of humanity.” So everyone should have the spirit to serve in times of crisis. ‘

Similarly, artist Kedar Ghimire said that the free ambulance service with oxygen started for the Corona infected by raising Rs 15,000 would be a great relief to those who are financially weak. He urged the people not to use oxygen gas unnecessarily in times of crisis and to wear masks only in crowded places as the body needs enough oxygen.
