Flight off from midnight, what to do in case of emergency?
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, MAY 3, 2021 – The government has decided to stop domestic flights from midnight today. Sunday’s cabinet meeting took such a decision.
The government has decided to suspend flights on the basis of a proposal by the board of directors of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) to stop domestic flights. The government has decided to stop all domestic flights from 12 noon tonight for the prevention and control of Covid-19 infection, said government spokesperson and communications minister Parbat Gurung.
According to him, it has been decided to suspend international flights from midnight on May 5 (Wednesday). Minister Gurung said that national and international chartered flights will be allowed.
What to do in case of emergency?
Passes are not required for essential services and work. Although the ban will be tightened, it will not be needed for essential services and work.
All the three district administrations in the Kathmandu Valley have stated that the pass is not required for the specified services. During the period of prohibition, the pass will not be required in case of vehicles of essential services and goods, sick and crippled, person who has to go to the funeral.
If there is any obstruction while going to the specified work, you can call Nepal Police 100 and 103 for facilitation. However, in case of going out of the district for urgent work, a pass has to be obtained from the concerned district administration. A complete and partial ban has been imposed in 41 districts across the country, including three in the Valley, as the Covid-19 infection is on the rise.
