BIRATNAGAR: SUNDAY, MAY 2, 2021 – A ban has been issued in Morang from today along with the high incidence of Covid-19 infection. However, the number of people coming to the market is not declining.

The District Administration Office, Morang, has issued a restraining order for the prevention and control of the daily increase. Prohibition orders have been issued in Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Jahada Rural Municipality, Katahari Rural Municipality Ward Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 and border areas with India and Sunsari districts.

The ban on Corona chains has had a partial effect. When the citizens did not follow the ban, the police on the streets looked tense. As it is the first day of the lockdown, the police have released the violators. SP Santosh Khadka of Morang said that the police alone could not do anything until they understood that the lockdown was for them.

He said that only the police deployed on the streets for the protection of the lives of the citizens would not be implemented and the citizens themselves should focus on its implementation. Factories have been operating since morning. Some of them have violated the rules by taking to the streets and have been taken under control by the police.

It is said that no one can go out of the house except to buy medicine, food and essential goods or services during the ban. According to security officials, the activity may have increased in the morning as shops and businesses supplying food, fuel, cooking gas, vegetables, fruits, milk, dairy and other essential items are allowed to operate till 10 am.

Gudri Bazaar, vegetable market, hotel, restaurant, saloon and e-rickshaw will not be allowed to operate during the ban period. In the case of purchase of construction materials, it has been said that the purchase has been completed by 10 am. Daily worship, religious and cultural activities other than prayers, fairs, processions, festivals, markets, festivals, gatherings and other group activities are prohibited.

It has been asked not to operate anything other than electricity, drinking water, communication, bank, garbage management, food, animal feed transport, ambulance, hearse, government numbered vehicles used in emergency services during the ban.

Traffic with neighboring India will be completely closed, people will not be allowed to walk from 8 pm to 5 am, action will be taken according to the law if artificial shortage of consumer goods is created, hotels and restaurants will be open only for home pack and home delivery purposes.
