Corona ward operation by private hospital in Kailali, treatment expenses will be borne by the state government
KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 2021 – Private hospitals in Kailali are ready to have a Corona ward. At the request of the state government, private hospitals here have agreed to operate Corona wards for the treatment of infected people.
Janak Raj Joshi, president of the Association of Private Hospitals, Far Western Province (AFIN), informed that the state private hospital has reached an agreement with the state government to operate wards with 5 to 10 beds.
According to him, the hospital will run a 10-bed Corona ward in the post of Navajeevan Hospital in Dhangadhi and Attariya.
Similarly, Maya Metro Hospital, Kailali Hospital, Nisarga Hospital, CP Hospital, Nova Hospital, Sarathi Hospital, KG Hospital and Om Asha Hospital in Dhangadhi will operate 5/5 bed wards.
Ward operation will start from Friday, said Chairman Joshi. The state government has collaborated with a private hospital after two large government hospitals in the far west, Seti Provincial Hospital and Mahakali Hospital, were filled with infected people.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Social Development Narendra Karki informed that the expenses incurred in private hospitals will be borne by the government.
According to him, the daily cost of a patient of normal nature will be Rs 3,500 while that of a patient with complex symptoms will be Rs 7,000 to Rs 15,000. The state government will provide the amount to private hospitals.
