Free treatment for Corona infection at Nobel Hospital


KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 2021 – The Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar will now provide free treatment to the infected people from Corona.
Nobel said on Thursday that an agreement had been reached between the Ministry of Health and Population and Nobel Hospital to provide free treatment for Corona infection.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Gunaraj Lohani, Chief of Policy Planning and Monitoring Division of the Ministry of Health and Dr. Bhogendra Prasad Upadhyaya, Chief Executive Officer of Nobel Hospital.
According to the agreement, the Ministry of Health and Population will bear the cost of treatment of Corona infected at Nobel Hospital.
As there is an agreement with the Ministry of Health, now any Corona infected Nepali will get free treatment at Nobel, said Dr. Sunil Sharma, Director of Nobel Hospital.
“An agreement has been reached with the Ministry of Health to provide free treatment for Corona infection,” said Dr Sharma.
Nobel is the largest privately run hospital in Eastern Nepal. With the free treatment of Corona in large and standard private sector hospitals, the treatment of Corona infected people in eastern Nepal will now be more convenient.
Nobel has set up a 100-bed Covid ward and a 39-bed Covid ICU for the treatment of Corona infections. Nobel Hospital has stated that the number of beds will be increased as per the need.
