Kolkata easily beat Punjab

KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, APRIL 27, 2021 – Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Punjab Kings by 5 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After chasing Punjab’s target of 124 runs in last night’s match, Kolkata completed the target losing 5 wickets in 16.4 overs.

For Kolkata, captain Eoin Morgan scored an unbeaten 47 while Rahul Tripathi scored 41 runs. Similarly, Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell contributed 12 and 10 runs respectively. Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Punjab lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and scored 123 runs.

For Punjab, Mayank Agrawal scored 31, Chris Jordan 30, KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran 19-19. Similarly, Shah Rukh Khan contributed 13 runs.
