Suggestions to the government by the chamber for formulating the budget
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 – The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has suggested the government to formulate the budget for the Fiscal Year 2078/79 by giving priority to economic recovery.
Officials of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), including its chairman Rajendra Malla, said on Monday that the chamber had submitted suggestions to Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel for formulating the budget for the coming fiscal year.
Speaking at a program at the Ministry of Finance, Chairman Malla said that the size of the budget should be implemented even if it is large.
“As the overall economy and people’s lives will be affected for a long time by the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the budget target should be set by giving priority to economic recovery,” said Chairman Malla. ‘
Finance Minister Poudel said that efforts would be made to address the budget by studying the suggestions given by the chamber for formulating the budget.
“We want to build friendly relations and cooperation with Nepal’s private sector,” Poudel said.
