NEW DELHI: MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 – Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his leaving game from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket season in India.

Stating that his family members should be supported in case of Covid-19 infection, Ashwin said that he will not play the rest of the season. Spinner Ashwin is playing for Delhi Capitals this time.

“Helping my family in this difficult time is my main responsibility,” Ashwin tweeted.

With the Corona virus epidemic spreading rapidly in India, it has been criticized that it is not right to play in the IPL. Delhi Capital has expressed support for Ashwin’s decision.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Ken Richardson andAdam Zampa have also returned home citing the Covid-19 infection and saying they will not participate in the current league. – RSS / AFP
