Preparations are underway to close public transport from Thursday in the Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 – The ban will be enforced in the Kathmandu Valley from Thursday. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of all the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley is preparing to issue a restraining order from Thursday as the risk of COVID-19 is increasing, a Chief District Officer informed Makalu Khabar from the meeting place.

“For now, the ban on public transport may be imposed from the 16th of this month. As we are in a meeting, it cannot be said that it has been formally decided now,” he said.

He said that discussions are underway on what to stop and how to make alternative arrangements and it can be said officially after the meeting.
