Prohibition order may be issued in these 9 districts including Kathmandu!
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021 – A ban has been prepared in districts where there are many active infections at a time when the risk of Covid-19 infection getting out of control is increasing. A meeting of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has recommended that the local government be empowered to impose sanctions based on the number of infected people.
The CCMC has asked to ban 200 active in hilly (rural areas) and 500 active in urban areas. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, more than 500 people are actively infected in nine districts of the country, including Kathmandu (as of Sunday). In Morang, Parsa, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kaski, Dang, Banke and Rupandehi, the number of active infected has exceeded 500.
A one-week ban has been announced in Banke from today, while a forceful system has been imposed in Rupandehi. The government has urged everyone not to overcrowd and to adhere to health safety standards.
