Rain hinders in Malaysia and Netherlands match

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2021 – Wednesday’s match of the ongoing Tri-National Twenty20 cricket tournament in Kathmandu has been stopped due to rain.

Batting first against Malaysia at the Tribhuvan International Stadium in Kirtipur, the Netherlands lost 3 wickets in 10 overs and scored 68 runs.

Netherlands’ Ben Cooper (33) and Peter Siddle (29) are not out.

Malaysia won the toss and elected to field. The Netherlands had beaten Malaysia in the previous match of the tournament. Malaysia was also defeated by Nepal.

After winning today’s match, Netherlands and Nepal will play in the final of the competition. The Netherlands had defeated Nepal by 3 wickets on Tuesday. Malaysia will play the final game of the league stage with Nepal.
