Kanchanpur at high risk of infection
KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2021 – People returning from India have contracted the Corona virus so that Kanchanpur is at high risk of contracting the Corona virus. The number of people returning from India through the border is increasing day by day after the blockade started due to corona in Indian cities.
Most of those returning from India have contracted the Corona virus. According to the Health Office, Kanchanpur, out of 740 people who returned through Gaddachauki on Tuesday alone, 214 of them tested positive for antigen and 45 of them tested positive. Similarly, 489 out of 710 people who returned from India through Trinagar ‘Dokebazar’ border tested positive for antigen and 66 tested positive. Of the 4,640 antigens tested in Kanchanpur so far, 311 are positive.
There are 228 active infections in antigen testing. Chief of the Health Office, Kanchanpur, Shivaraj Sunar said that out of the 3,694 antigens tested at Gaddachauki on the western border, 165 tested positive. According to him, the number of patients in isolation of Mahakali Hospital is 30. The number of patients in ICH isolation is 54. So far, 16 people have died in the district due to Corona infection.
