Gaurika on the list of Asia’s most influential youth

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2021 – Renowned Olympian swimmer Gaurika Singh has been included in the list of influential youngsters in ‘Forbes Thirty Under Thirty Asia 2021’. According to Forbes Magazine, Gaurika is one of the 30 most influential young people in Asia for entertainment and sports.

Including Gaurika as an influential youth, Forbes wrote, “Gaurika Singh has been swimming since she was 9 years old. She has been playing for Nepal for 12 years. She won 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in the South Asian Games. She competed as the youngest athlete at the 2016 Rio Olympics. ‘

Gaurika had achieved a record achievement in the 13th Green Games held in Nepal a year and a half ago. He is the first player to win gold in the individual swimming event for Nepal. Gaurika is also a goodwill ambassador for Maiti Nepal and the Shanti Education Initiative.
