Japan discovers technology to test covid infection in five minutes

KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 2021 – Japan has discovered the technology to detect the infection of Covid-19 in five minutes. The technology was discovered by research from Japan’s Riken Research Institute and the University of Tokyo, according to Japanese officials.

The national media here has made this news public on Tuesday. Currently, PCR test is also in vogue in Japan. However, even with this technology, it currently takes at least an hour to detect the Covid-19 virus.

Now, within five minutes of taking a sample of a person, it will be found out whether the Covid-19 is positive in his body or not.

The technology will now be of great help in testing Corona infections and detecting them in time, according to Japanese media reports.

Rikiya Watanabe, a scientist at the institute, said there was no complicated process to test with this technology and that it could be detected in general and with the help of few tools.
