CT scan service in Pokhara
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2021 – For the first time in Gandaki, outside the Kathmandu Valley, the facility of 256-slice CT scan has come into operation.
The hospital has stated that the CT scan service has been started by the Pokhara MRI Diagnostic Center, which has been established for the last three years, to diagnose various diseases in an easy and accessible way for the patients of Pokhara and Gandaki.
This CT scan is the largest CT scan in Gandaki. Especially for heart, brain, lung, stomach and blood vessels of the hands and feet, including cancer of various organs of the body and CT scan facility for children with low radiation.
The CT scan facility will be available 24 hours a day. The center, run by senior doctors in Pokhara who do not have to travel to Kathmandu for coronary angiography, has been providing 1.5 Tesla MRI mammography, USG, guided biopsy for the past three years.
The diagnostic center is also in the process of ISO quality.
