NEW DELHI: SUNDAY, APRIL 18, 2021 – Those who have come to participate in the Kumbh Mela in Delhi, the central capital of India, have to stay in the quarantine for 14 days.

Hundreds of people participating in the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar have been confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus, so the state government has decided to quarantine those coming from there.

In the directive issued by the state government, it has been mentioned that those who come from Kumbh Mela should adopt health vigilance and stay in quarantine.

Those who do not follow the instructions of the state government have been warned to be severely punished according to the law.

In the directive issued by the Chief Secretary of the state, Vijay Dev, it has been mentioned that the home quarantine will also be set up.

Those who went to the Kumbh Mela from April 4 to 17 are also urged to provide their details to the state government within 24 hours.

“Similarly, those who are going to the Kumbh Mela from April 18 to 30 will have to submit some key details before leaving Delhi,” the directive said.

More than 1,700 people who participated in the Kumbh Mela were confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus.

The basic standards of wearing a mask and maintaining social distance were openly violated at the great Hindu fair attended by millions of people.

In Delhi alone, another 24,374 people have been infected with the Corona virus in the last 24 hours.

This is the highest number of people infected in a single day, officials said.
