Petroleum prices rose again
KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 18, 2021 – Nepal Oil Corporation has again increased the price of petroleum products on Saturday. According to the price list received from Indian Oil Corporation on Friday, the price has been increased due to a loss of Rs 810 million in 15 days.
According to the corporation, prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel have gone up. Petrol, diesel and kerosene prices have been increased by Rs 1 per liter since midnight on Saturday. According to the new price, petrol has reached Rs 121 per liter. The price of diesel and kerosene has reached Rs 104 per liter.
The selling price of domestic aviation fuel has gone up by Rs 2 to Rs 76 per liter. The prices of cooking gas and aviation fuel used for international flights have not been increased.
According to the corporation, even after the price hike, the corporation has a loss of Rs 6.72 per liter on petrol, Rs 44 per liter on diesel and Rs 417.47 per cylinder on cooking LP gas. On that basis, there will be a loss of Rs. 706.6 million in 15 days.
According to Binit Mani Upadhyaya, spokesperson of NIGAM, the price of petrol in Birgunj area is Rs 29.23 per liter and diesel is Rs 35.41 per liter cheaper in Nepal than in Raxol on the Nepal-India border.
