Three killed, 28 injured in bus accident

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 18, 2021 – Three persons were killed and three others injured in a bus accident at Daunne of Nawalpur in Nawalparasi district on Saturday evening. Among the injured, two women and a man died while undergoing treatment.

According to Dilip Kumar Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Nawalpur, three of the 31 injured died in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Dhanu Darlami, 25, of Ilam, Bakaya Gaunpalika-5 of Makwanpur, Jamo Hise Chamo Gyalmo, 57, of Gumba in Binai Triveni Gaunpalika-2 and Himlal Neupane, 72, of Chitwan Bharatpur Mahanagarpalika-25.

The other injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Bharatpur and Nawalpur, said Pranau Giri. A passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 7000) left for Narayangarh from Butwal in Binai Triveni Gaunpalika-2 Daunne of Nawalpur fell down two meters from the road on Saturday evening.

All the passengers were injured in the accident. It was difficult to rescue the injured as the bus fell down the road. Police team from District Police Office and Area Police Office Dumkibas rescued the injured.
