Mega’s QR code in Jorpati’s vegetable market
KATHMANDU: SATURDAY, APRIL 17, 2021 – Mega Bank Nepal Limited is rapidly expanding the payment system from QR code.
In line with the bank’s policy of gradually displacing cashless transactions and promoting digital payments, Mega Bank has expanded its QR code service at the Vishranti Wholesale Vegetable and Fruit Market in Jorpati, Kathmandu.
Bhuwan Kandel, Executive Director, Payment System Department, Nepal Rastra Bank and Anupama Khunjeli, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mega Bank Nepal Limited, formally launched the QR Code Payment Service by paying the purchase price of vegetables through QR Code. QR codes were distributed to 80 vegetable sellers in the program.
Businesses and customers are very happy with the launch of QR code service in the vegetable market. With this arrangement, consumers can easily pay the amount purchased through their mobile banking application through QR code.
Mega Bank has stated that the attraction of businessmen and consumers is increasing day by day as the payment through QR code is quick, hassle free and secure and there is no charge for doing business.
