Gold and silver traders were shot dead in the middle of the night

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2021 – A businessman has been killed in Lahan of Siraha district. The deceased has been identified as Pradip Kumar Bishwakarma, 40, of Lahan Municipality-19.

According to District Police Office, Siraha, Superintendent of Police Sudipraj Bhandari, the shot took place at around 12:45 pm. It was not immediately clear who fired the shots. Bishwakarma, who was killed along with the bullet, has also been attacked with a Khukuri. His wife is injured.

It has not been confirmed who committed the murder, but two people have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the incident, said Superintendent Bhandari. Police suspect that the incident may have taken place while retaliating against the robbers.
