KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2021 – The Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) meeting has proposed to close the school for at least three weeks saying that a new species of corona has grown.

A meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and CCMC Coordinator Ishwor Pokharel at Singha Durbar on Saturday proposed to close schools and colleges in the affected areas for at least three weeks. If the proposal is passed by the cabinet meeting, the school will be closed again.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health had also recommended to the CCMC to close the school and send it online. The CCMC meeting also appealed for caution, saying a second wave of corona infection could spread.

The DCCMC has directed to fully comply with the public health standards in the shopping malls, restaurants, dance halls, hill halls, party palaces, health clubs, swimming pools and other religious places.

The CCM has also decided to close night businesses after 10 pm and not to move from one local level to another depending on the state of transition. But the government has not yet decided whether to close it completely.
