Liverpool win against Aston Villa

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2021 – Former champions Liverpool have won the English Premier League. Liverpool beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Saturday night.

Home team Liverpool scored the winning goal in the last minute of the game. Ollie Watkins scored in the 43rd minute to give Aston Villa a 1-0 lead. Aston took a 1-0 lead in the first half but could not maintain the lead in the second half.

Mohamed Salah scored in the 57th minute to give Liverpool a 1-1 draw. Alexander Arnold scored in injury time to give Liverpool a 2-1 victory.

With the victory, Liverpool has scored 52 points from 31 games. Liverpool are fifth in the league, while defeated Aston Villa are 10th in the league. Aston Villa have 44 points from 30 games.
