KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2021 – The government has urged not to overcrowd to reduce the risk of corona infection. The Ministry of Health and Population issued a notice on Wednesday evening urging people not to crowd in public places. The ministry has urged not to overcrowd as the number of Covid infections and deaths is increasing globally and the infection rate is also high in Nepal.

Currently, the UK variant of the Corona is being infected globally and is being tightened as health standards are being violated in Nepal.

According to the information issued by the co-spokesperson of the ministry, Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, night businesses and hotels and restaurants will be closed after 9 pm. It has also decided to make the use of masks mandatory, increase contract testing for infected identification, and increase antigen and PCR testing.

More than 500 in large cities and more than 100 in small towns will be closed, traffic will be quarantined, foreigners will be quarantined, high vigilance will be exercised in educational institutions, shopping malls, cinema halls, nightclubs, clubs, swimming pools, party palaces, temples will be crowded. The ministry has urged the concerned district administration offices not to do so.
