126,000 corona infection in one day in India, Nepal in danger!

KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2021 – In neighboring India, the second wave of Covid has taken a monstrous form. There have been more than 100,000 cases of Corona confirmed in the last 24 hours.

According to Indian media, 126,000 people were confirmed infected on Wednesday. The number of infected people has been high in India since the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.

According to the Union Ministry of Health, 684 Corona viruses have died in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected deaths has reached 166,892.

The growing infection in India has had a direct impact on Nepal. There has been a significant increase in the number of Corona cases in Nepal recently. In the last 24 hours alone, 339 people have been infected in Nepal. Due to the open border, the number of infected people in India has increased and its effect has also started to be seen in Nepal.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam during a press briefing on Wednesday, clarified that the infection was on the rise in India and urged the general public to be vigilant and adhere to public health standards as it would have a direct impact on Nepal. He said that Nepal was at high risk as the infection rate in India is increasing.

The government has urged not to overcrowd to prevent the spread of such infections. The Ministry of Health issued a notice on Wednesday evening urging people not to crowd in public places. The ministry has urged not to overcrowd as the number of Covid infections and deaths is increasing globally and the infection rate is also high in Nepal.

The ministry also said that if more than 500 people in large cities and more than 100 people in small towns are infected, traffic will be stopped and those coming from abroad will be quarantined. Similarly, it has been requested not to crowd in educational institutions, shopping malls, cinema halls, dance halls, clubs, swimming pools, party palaces, temples and other places.
