YANGON: TUESDAY, APRIL 6, 2021 – Protesters protesting the military coup in Myanmar painted the streets of Yangon, the country’s largest city, red on Tuesday.

The road has been made red to commemorate the martyrdom of hundreds of people killed by the army. About 570 people have been killed since the army took power on February 1. Violence and unrest are happening day by day. According to the Association for Political Prisoners, security forces have arrested about 3,500 people and detained 80 percent of them. In Yangon, protesters woke up early in the morning and painted the streets, belts and bus stops red. The blood has not dried yet, ‘a message said.

Another message said that ordinary soldiers were being exploited by criminal generals. There is a state of outrage among the people after the army took over the government by removing the elected democratic government. Some protesters have dubbed their movement the Spring Revolution. Protests in the streets, non-violent insurrections and civil disobedience campaigns are being carried out to stop the functioning of the state.
