13th General Meeting of Film Directors Society Concluded
KATHMANDU: MONDAY, APRIL 5, 2021 – Hem Bahadur Lama, a 92-year-old director and producer, has been given the Life Time Achievement Award at the 13th General Assembly of the Film Directors Society. Lama and some other directors were also honored at the program organized at the hall of the Film Development Board. Lama produced and directed the film ‘Adarsha Nari’.
Directors Yuvraj Lama, Ramesh Budhathoki, Prakash Sayami and Narayan Puri were also honored at the program. Minister of State for Urban Development Ram Bir Manandhar presented him with a letter of appreciation. Similarly, Rishi Lamichhane was awarded the Young Film Director Award and Deepa Shree Niraula the Popular Director Award.
At the general meeting, the board of directors has announced a revolving fund and the board of directors has also announced accident insurance as soon as the members subscribe.
Nir Shah, who was present as a guest in the program, said that the filmmakers have not yet become professional. A video of various activities of the organization was also screened at the event.
