Murder for trying to steal a water pump
BHAKTAPUR: MONDAY, APRIL 5, 2021 – One person has died after being beaten by a local for stealing a water pump. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Gurung, 30, of Kusadevi, Kavrepalanchok.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Giri informed that he died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital. Gurung, who was injured in the beating, was found dead in Barkhepati of Changunarayan Municipality-2 on Saturday night.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Giri informed that Gurung was taken under control and beaten by a person including Lakha while he was pulling out a water pump from a small pond built for digging ditches near the house of local Binod Lakha.
The arrested are Tek Bahadur KC, 50, of Changunarayan-2, Nabin Koju, 32, of the same place, Binod Lakha, 37, of Bhaktapur Municipality-7, Kamal Khatri, 38, of Changunarayan-2 and Sunsari. The deceased has been identified as Sanish Kumar Rai, 34, of Changunarayan-3.
