Reduced pollution across the country
KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, APRIL 4, 2021 – Air pollution has decreased in most parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. In the hilly terrain of the country, including Kathmandu, high air pollution had covered the area for about a week.
Senior meteorologist Rishi Ram Sharma said that the rains have helped to reduce the deadly pollution that has accumulated in the atmosphere for many days. According to him, the development of irrigation system along with the development of air will help reduce pollution. The pollution had been floating in the lower part of the atmosphere for the past few days.
In school operation
Schools across the country will be operational from today. As environmental pollution is decreasing, schools have started operating from today.
The government had decided to close schools across the country for four days from Chaith 17 after the air pollution increased. But in some districts outside the valley, schools were not closed but were operating regularly.
