One died when a self-made fish bomb exploded

KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, APRIL 2, 2021 – One person has been killed and another injured in a bomb blast in Baglung district. A bomb had exploded at Badigad Gaupalika-2, Simalchaur on Thursday afternoon while making a bomb for fishing, police said.

A bomb had exploded at the house of a local Durga Bahadur Bhujel while he was making a bomb. According to the District Police Office, Baglung, the deceased has been identified as Mitra Bahadur, 31, of Badigad Gaunpalika-2, Simalchaur of Musikot Municipality-7. He died on the way to Palpa for treatment after sustaining serious injuries in the blast.

Arun Pun, 28, of Hadi Khola, Badigad Gaunpalika-2, who was seriously injured in the blast, is undergoing treatment at Lumbini Medical College, Prabas Palpa, police said.
