USD E-COM card launched by Citizens Bank
KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, APRIL 1, 2021 – Citizens Bank International Limited has launched USD Ecome Card.
According to a recent circular on international prepaid cards issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, the bank is going to provide the facility.
Under this facility, the customer can request the bank to exchange the Nepali Rupee in his Citizens Bank account and load up to 500 USD per annum on the card once or repeatedly.
Customers wishing to use USD Income Card should have updated their customer ID KYC details in their account and obtained PAN card, the bank said.
Under this, the card can be used by the customer to pay for the purchase of goods and services online from countries other than Nepal and India, the bank said.
The bank has stated that it is not possible to withdraw cash from ATMs and transact through POS using this card.
Citizens Bank International Limited operates 167 branches and 118 ATMs across the country. And 107 branchless banking units have been providing modern banking services to about nine and a half million customers.
Citizens Bank International Limited has been making maximum use of the latest technology to meet the financial needs of its customers through digital channels.
To make it more tangible, the bank can log in to the mobile banking app without using a check, scan the QR code at the counter and withdraw money from the account. The bank has stated that it has started.
The bank believes that this type of service will help in the development of digital banking civilization.
