More research needed to confirm no corona virus evolution from Chinese laboratory: WHO
KATHMANDU: MARCH 31 – The World Health Organization (WHO) says more research is needed to disprove the theory that the corona virus was developed in a Chinese laboratory.
According to Dr. Tedros WHO Director General the research and evidence so far, the possibility of leakage from the corona virus laboratory is very low. Dr. Tedros said more detailed research was needed to completely disprove the theory that the corona virus had leaked from the laboratory.
In late 2019, the corona virus was first detected in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Since then, the virus has become a global epidemic. The Chinese government has denied that the virus was leaked from laboratories. Some western countries and scientists have suspected that the virus has spread to humans through laboratories.
But research and evidence so far have shown that the virus has spread from Wuhan’s meat market to humans. The corona virus has so far killed more than 2.7 million people worldwide.
