Mah Jodi is honored as a ‘Mahamurkha’

KATHMANDU: MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2021 – This year’s Mahamurkha title has been awarded to Mah Jodi. Actors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya have been conferred the title of Mahamurkha at a conference organized by Mithila Natya Kala Parishad on the occasion of Holi.

Although the title is given to a person with a political image at the annual conference of Mahamurkha, this year the title has been given to a Mah Jodi.

Speaking on the occasion, Madan Krishna Shrestha said that the title of the Mahamurkha was historic even though he got dozens of titles in the field of art. Hari Bansha Acharya, on the other hand, said that it was foolish of him to continue laughing. The title of Patmurkha has been given to Jitendra Sonal, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of State-2.
