Corona intensifies in India, more than 60,000 confirmed in one day

KATHMANDU: SUNDAY, MARCH 28, 2021 – In India, the second wave of Covid-19 infection is intensifying. More than 60,000 infections were confirmed there on Friday.

After 5 months, this number has been seen in India on the same day. In the last 24 hours, another 289 people have died in India, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. At the same time, the number of deaths from corona in India has exceeded 160,900.

In India, the number of corona infections has reached more than 118.46 million and more than 10 million of those confirmed have been cured. Despite the Indian government’s intensification of the vaccination campaign, the infection has not abated. So far, more than 58.1 million people have been vaccinated against corona.
