Biplav leader arrested even after three-point agreement

KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 2021 – Leaders of the Biplav have been arrested for the first time after a three-point agreement was reached between the government and the Biplav. Police have arrested Sagar Limbu ‘Sakkal’, a member of the group’s Taplejung district committee.

According to Gayatra Adhikari Khadka, Assistant Superintendent of Taplejung, said Makalu Khabar, Limbu was arrested by the police on Thursday. “He was arrested yesterday,” Khadka said. “Police have taken him into custody.”

According to Mechi-Koshi Bureau in-charge Prakash, police have arrested Limbu while he was walking in Phungling Bazaar of the district. Meanwhile, Prakash said in a statement that he was arrested as there was an arms case under the ban.
