KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2021 – The body of a couple from Mahottari Pipra who went missing a month ago has been found buried.

Musafir Jha and his wife Geeta Devi Jha of Sahod Ba in Pipra Village Municipality-5 went missing on Falgun 10. The bodies of the two were found buried in a ditch on the side of the road at Pipra-2, said DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh.

“The bodies were found at a distance of about 3.5 km from the Jha couple’s house,” he said. The couple’s son and his wife has identified the bodies after digging a ditch. Gita Devi has been identified by her clothes while the t-shirt worn by Musafir has identified him, said Singh.

Police have arrested four people for abducting the couple earlier. Rambabu Yadav, 52, of Pipra Village Municipality-5 Sahod Ba, his sons Surendra Yadav, 26, Rajendra Yadav, 24, and Harendra Thakur, 50, an Indian national of Pipra-6 have been arrested. Jha’s family had filed a FIR against them on Chaith 5 in connection with the abduction and hostage-taking case.

According to the police, the blood found in different places of Rambabu Yadav’s house was confirmed to be human blood.
