KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2021 – A total of 250 volunteers have been deployed for traffic management in Kathmandu Valley. A total of 250 volunteers, including Nepal Scout Rangers and Nepal Army National Service Cadets, have been deployed in 15 busy places to assist the traffic police in traffic management.

They are assisting in traffic management at Durbar Marg, Keshar Mahal, Singha Durbar, Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Teku, New Baneshwor, Old Baneshwor, Kalimati, Shankardev Campus, Koteshwor, Putalisadak, Gaushala, Chabahil, Maharajgunj, Thimi of Bhaktapur and Suryabinayak Chowk.

According to the traffic police, they have been working as volunteers for 6 hours a day for 15 days.

They are also working to raise public awareness of pedestrians.
