Saugat arrives in Sikkim to film ‘Jar’

KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24, 2021 – Actor Saugat Malla has arrived in Sikkim to shoot the movie ‘Jar’. After filming the movie ‘The Secrets of Radha’, he has reached Sikkim and will start shooting tomorrow.

The film is based on the realities of Sikkimese society in the 1800s. Phurba Chhiring Lama is directing the film to be made under the banner of Tele Pictures, Hope Reel and El Seven Shorts.

Gitanjali Thapa will play the lead role in the film. The entire film, starring mostly Indian actors, will be shot in West Sikkim. The shooting of the film, which is targeted to be screened between Dashain and Tihar next year, is set to be completed in 20 days.

The story of the film is written by Indra Bahadur Rai and the screenplay is by director Lama himself. The film will also star Anoop Bikram Shahi.
