Dhurmus-Suntali started Mechi-Mahakali campaign

KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 2021 – The Mechi-Mahakali Campaign has been launched for the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, which is being constructed at the grassroots level in association with Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation. The Mechi-Mahakali campaign has been launched due to lack of funds for the construction of the stadium.

Chairman of the Foundation Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) said that the door-to-door campaign from East Mechi to West Mahakali has started from today. According to him, the assistance is being collected by reaching the doorsteps of those who want to help in the construction of the stadium.

“As the stadium will be constructed with seven pillars reflecting the image of the province and the booths of all 77 districts, a door-to-door campaign is being launched with the intention of raising funds for the construction of booths in each district,” the foundation said in a statement.

It has been stated that the campaign started from Kanchanpur today will be held in each district for two days and will be held hand in hand with the supportive minds there.

Along with Dhurmus, Kumar Kattel (Jigri), Arjun Ghimire (Padey), social activists Nigam Humagain, Arjun Bhusal and Jayaram Sigdel, coordinator of the district level support committee are in the door-to-door campaign.

The 30,000 seats in the stadium with a capacity of 30,000 spectators can be reserved in the name of one’s own name, father’s, mother’s group, women’s group, toll development organization, cooperative, bank and financial institution, industry, school, campus, etc.
