Indian filmmaker Sagar Sarhadi passes away
AGENCY: MARCH 22, 2021 – Indian filmmaker, director and writer Sagar Sarhadi has passed away. Sagar, 88, died at a Mumbai hospital today due to a heart condition.
Sagar had directed the film ‘Bazaar’ starring Smita Patel and Nasiruddin Shah. Similarly, Farooq Sheikh, Naseeruddin and Sabana Azmi produced the featured film ‘Lori’. He also wrote the story of ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel.
Bollywood actor Ashok Pandit has shared the news of Sarhadi’s demise through social media. He wished peace to the soul of Sarhadi who died due to heart attack. He also said that the demise of Sarhadi was an irreparable loss for the entire film world.
Borders were known for screen play and dialogue. He co-produced the screenplay of ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ with Honey Irani and Rabi Kapoor. He had worked with Chopra in the film ‘Silsila’. He also prepared dialogues for films like Kabhi Kabhi, Nuri, Chandni, Diwana and others.
