KATHMANDU: Durga Prasad Timsina [Deepak Jaisi], who was released on Saturday after spending 40 years in the Central Jail of West Bengal, India, arrived in Nepal on Sunday.

Durga Prasad arrived in Kakarbhitta this morning. Durga Prasad, who returned home carrying sweets to her mother, said, “How did you feel when you came to Nepal?”

Durga Prasad will go to Ilam today. Durga Prasad had told the Indian media that he was innocent.

Family and relatives including brother Prakash Chandra Mimsina had gone to India to take Durga Prasad. The court had sent a letter with an agreement between the court and Prakash Chandra on Friday afternoon. The jail authorities released him on the basis of the same letter.

He was released on Wednesday by High Court Justices Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radha Krishnan and Anirudh Roy.
