‘Kantipur Cineplex’ in operation

KATHMANDU: Kantipur Network has started channel ‘Kantipur Cineplex’ giving importance to the film sector. During a program in the capital on Friday, Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohiya launched the channel by hitting the clap board. He said the channel was born in Lockdown. He also said that the channel has more than 300 films in stock. A Kantipur studio has also been set up to produce the film.

Nepali filmmakers were present at the launch of the channel at Yak & Yeti Hotel. Actor Hari Bansha Acharya recalled that he had watched the movie for 16 paisa. Actor Rajesh Hamal said that it is a matter of happiness for the film industry as it is a channel related to film. Shambhujit Baskota, Niruta Singh, Deepa Shree Niraula, Bhuwan KC, Deepak Raj Giri, Pooja Sharma and others wished success to the channel.
