Birat Gold Cup from Chaith 26

BIRATNAGAR: The Birat Gold Cup is scheduled to be held from 26th of Chaith. In Biratnagar, the Birat Gold Cup Trust held a press conference and gave information about the competition.

Chairman of the trust Santosh Baniya said that they are going to compete in the midst of difficulties. The winner will get Rs 15,15000 and the runner-up will get Rs 751,000.

Manaj Bikram Sah, coordinator of Birat Gold Cup Trust, said that 10 teams will participate out of the list of 14 teams. This is the first time Cameroon’s African Roots Association team has participated. Besides, Manang Marsyangdi of Nepal, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, Sankata, National League winners Tim Machhindra, Gorkha Boys, Rupandehi and Biratnagar 11 will be participating, said the organizer.

The competition, estimated to cost around Rs 1 crore 25 lakh, was sponsored by Rumpum and Maruti, said coordinator Shah.

The competition, which is going to be held as the sixth edition of the Birat Gold Cup, will be played at night flood light.
